Welcome to the Greater Rio Area!

The Greater Rio Area is more than just the Village of Rio. It is also the Village of Doylestown and the surrounding Townships of Fountain Prairie, Hampden, Lowville, Otsego, Springvale, and Wyocena: all the areas represented in our school district. Check out this map of the Rio School District to see where everything is.

Who We Are

The Greater Rio Area Collaborative Committee is made up of representatives from the Rio School District and each of the townships it serves. Our goal is to bring greater visibility to the area and to educate others about the unique opportunities the Greater Rio Area offers.

Did you know...?

...the Village of Rio is 1.76 square miles, but the school district is 75.81 square miles?
...there are almost 500 students enrolled in the Rio School District ranging from pre-K through 12th grade?
...the Greater Rio Area has 4 churches, 3 campgrounds, and at least 20 businesses NOT in the village of Rio?
